Fifty years after the 1976 earthquake, Gemona celebrates its reconstruction: ceremonies, parades, a story of solidarity that has become a myth. Al di là di ieri (Beyond Yesterday) asks what that myth leaves out, and what room it leaves for the town as it is today.

The film follows a community cinema workshop, open to people of different ages and backgrounds, that builds toward a shared table at Sant’Agnese. Through three generations, personal video diaries and archive materials, it sets the official memory beside the lived one, and records both what the workshop achieves and where the town does not respond. The film is part of what it observes.
