Laboratorio X is an informal, itinerant, and open group dedicated to the study, work, and research of theatrical art, active intermittently since 1999. Founded around director Alessandro Marinuzzi and some of his collaborators, it has always alternated between periods of internal reflection on its work and periods of public presentations at theaters, cultural centers, festivals, institutions, and various events. It also interacts with multimedia artists, with particular attention to audience development and the continuous professional development of theater actors.

I first joined the group back in 2008, filming sessions and performances. Even though our paths have gone in different directions since then, it was amazing to reconnect with old friends and talented artists who’ve had such a big impact on me over the years.

This year, the collective celebrated 25 years by offering a free week of workshops while hosted by the Caraboa Teatro space in Trieste.
